Never thought we’d make it this far
Now they’re trying to break us apart
Never let them change who we are
Baby we got lightning in our hearts
Never thought we’d make it this far
Now they’re trying to break us apart
We won’t let them change who we are
Baby we got lightning in our hearts
Love
Are you strong enough
Come on shake it up
Show them what you’re made of
It don’t matter where you’re from
You are one of us
Baby we’re the same blood
Love
Are you strong enough
Come on shake it up
Show them what you’re made of
It don’t matter where you’re from
You are one of us
Baby we’re the same blood
Forever in a world that’s torn apart
Only one that keeps me hanging on
Heaven is a place where we belong
Colors that we make will carry on
Feeling just like strangers in the dark
Together we are brighter than the stars
Chemical attraction from the start
Baby we got lightning in our hearts
Love
Are you strong enough
Come on shake it up
Show them what you’re made of
It don’t matter where you’re from
You are one of us
Baby we’re the same blood
Same blood, same blood
Love
Are you strong enough
Come on shake it up
Show them what you’re made of
It don’t matter where you’re from
You are one of us
Baby we’re the same blood
Same blood
Love
Are you strong enough
Come on shake it up
Show them what you’re made of
It don’t matter where you’re from
You are one of us
Baby we’re the same blood
Same blood
Love
Are you strong enough
Come on shake it up
Show them what you’re made of
Don’t matter where you’re from
You are one of us
Baby we’re the same blood
about
Lifted from their 2019-released album ‘Pleasure Centre’, Kraak & Smaak’s single ’Same Blood’ featuring Los Angeles-based duo The Palms is making a timely comeback in this second half of summer with a remix by Tensnake.
A lavishly orchestrated indie disco-pop number, ‘Same Blood’ casts a spell of Californian summer upon the dancefloor with its coastal sunset-ish atmosphere, understated psychedelia and welcoming zero-G dreaminess that’s become a trademark of The Palms’ wistful musical imaginarium.
Adding his club-optimised twist to the tune, Hamburg-based house escapist Tensnake unbridles the groove and tunes up the engines to develop the original mix's DJ-friendly potential to the full. Calibrated to grab the dancers and not let loose on them till the lights have gone off, both the short edit and extended version talk the most sensual body language and are primed to excel in transient moments, whether the sun is going up or down.
