The fantastic 'Say Yeah' is classic K&S with a deliberately old school vibe bringing together legendary funk samples (no it’s not JB) and 2K+ production values. “Lemme hear ya say yeah” – our party starter shouts – “say it again” he screams and all that’s left to do is lay back and watch the dancefloor catch fire.
'Maputo Express' is a rolling tribal track with an African vocal vibe that seems to be finding favour in both the house and breaks camps.
Finally, Danse Macabre shows the often ignored side of Kraak & Smaak’s work with a beautiful downbeat soundscape with a softly sung haunting jazz vocal. Nice.
For those that don’t know Kraak & Smaak is not the reason your little sister stays out all weekend but are in fact three dutch guys who are single-handedly putting Holland on the GFPS. That’s the Global Funk Positioning System for those that don’t know.
